by a small group of enthusiasts to provide an opportunity for all
to participate in educational programs, research, documentation
and preservation of the history of our community.

18th Annual 2024 Plattekill Historical Thanksgiving Celebration
Sunday, November 17, 2024 @ 12 PM
MISSION
Contribute to the maintenance of quality historic standards and documentation; Serve as a source for the exchange of historic information; Help preserve public and private records and artifacts and work to ensure their accessibility for historic purposes; Promote interest in local and family history; Collect and preserve artifacts that document the history of our community.
ABOUT THE PLATTEKILL HISTORIC GRANGE RESTORATION PROJECT
After 14 years without a permanent home, the Plattekill Historical Society has moved into new digs in the old Plattekill Grange No. 923 on Route 32. The volunteer work to renovate the circa-1903 building has been going on for more than a year and is still in progress, but enough of the renovation has been done that the first floor is ready.
